Eastern Oregon Visitors Association is proud to present the opening season for hand-crafted beer in the eastern portion of the state of Oregon, October 1, 2011 – April 30, 2012 EXTENDED UNTIL SUPPLIES RUN OUT. This is a “Controlled Hunt”, and hunters, also known as tasters, are asked to procure a “Beer Tag” in order to participate in this rare hunt.

Units for this “Controlled Hunt” are six hand-crafted breweries located in Ontario, Baker City, Joseph, Enterprise, La Grande, and Pendleton. Once a ‘Beer Tag’ is procured at one of the participating breweries or by downloading from the EOVA website (visiteasternoregon.com), hunters (aka Beer Tasters) are invited to hunt at any of six Eastern Oregon micro-breweries. After tasting is completed, the brew master will stamp the ‘Beer Tag’ with the official Eastern Oregon stamp. Upon visiting at least four of the six hunting locations, the hunter (aka Taster) will be awarded a fabulous koozie for keeping his or her Eastern Oregon beer cool, in preparation for future hunts.

Pendleton is proud to participate in this regional event celebrating a new generation of fine craftsman…. the brew master. We are extra proud to highlight our own brew pub The Prodigal Son Brewery and Pub which has been named the Best Brewery of the West by Beer West Magazine.
