Tourism Education Committee

The Tourism Education Committee works on several projects that focus on boosting tourism and promoting Pendleton to strengthen local business and our vibrant community. The Chamber acts as the marketing arm of and for the city and promotes Pendleton as an exciting visitor destination. The overarching goal of the committee is to increase tourism in Pendleton, which brings more tourism dollars to the local economy and expands Pendleton’s legendary reputation. Tourism growth assists with existing business retention and growth as well as encouraging new businesses to be created. Members and the community see direct benefits from marketing and advertising efforts by the Chamber.

Special Projects

The Special Projects Committees stand ready to tackle special projects for the Chamber and members. This includes planning and organizing the annual First Citizens and Business Excellence Awards Banquet and making sure The OSAA 2A State Basketball Tournament runs smoothly each year. Special Project committees base their meeting times and frequency on what is required, usually just a few meetings before events or just long enough to accomplish the project.

Membership

The Membership Committee meets monthly. During that meeting, they plan the Monthly Membership Luncheons and Business Workshops. They work hard to ensure that benefits received by members return more than the investments made, give direction to staff regarding improvements to member services and communications, and help with special projects regarding membership.

The Membership Committee works closely with the Membership Coordinator. If you are interested in learning more about this committee, contact the Membership Coordinator at membership@pendletonchamber.com or by calling 541-276-7411.

You won’t find a Chamber anywhere that’s more deeply involved in community! There’s nothing imposing or interesting about the building—but the people IN it have got the serious scoop on Pendleton. Of particular interest is the “Pendleton Charm Trail,” a scavenger hunt of sorts in which a visitor can collect dozens of charms from businesses and attractions all around town.

The best little Chamber of Commerce in Pendleton! Very competent and friendly staff. Quite helpful if you have questions about the city, events, and things to do or places to eat.
