Adult Coed Volleyball

Location: Helen McCune Gym at the Pendleton Rec Center

Meets Jan 21-April 8 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Cost: $80 per team

Ages 16 and up

This league is a ref your own league for people out to have fun and exercise. Teams are required to come up with a name and submit a roster. We offer two types: rec and power. If you're looking for a low-pressure style of play, then rec is your league. If you’re looking for something more competitive, then power is your league.

January No School Open Gym

Location: Helen McCune Gym at the Pendleton Rec Center

January 21 from 9 a.m.- Noon           

Cost: $5

Ages 7-11

Get your kiddo some gym time during those days off from school. We play a lot of dodgeball and basketball. Be prepared for lots of physical activity. We also spend time in the loft with foosball, pool and ping pong and are introducing some new cup stacking contests. Registration preferred, or drop in fee at the door.

NEW! Doubles Cornhole League

Location: Helen McCune Gym at the Pendleton Rec Center

Meets Thursdays Jan 24-April 11

Cost: $40 per team

Ages 16 and up

Cornhole is a game in which players take turns throwing bags of corn at a raised platform with a hole in the far end. A bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. Play continues until a team reaches (or exceeds) the score of 21. This league will consist of a team of 2 with one possible alternate. Matches will consist of best of 3 games. Teams play 2 matches per night.

February Yoga

Location: Helen McCune Gym at the Pendleton Rec Center

Meets Thursdays Feb6-Feb275:30-6:30 p.m.

Cost: $36

Ages 16 and up

Breathing, strengthening, stretching, and balancing - these are the ingredients of yoga which can create numerous health benefits for the body. Class begins with breathing and a gentle warm-up to prepare the body and mind to work. The heart of the class is a series of poses that can be vigorous, gentle, or adapted, according to the individual's needs. Deep stretching and relaxation occur at the end so students leave feeling strengthened, energized and refreshed. No prior knowledge of yoga is needed. Register on-line or at the parks office by Friday noon of the week before the first class day. Once that date is reached you must register at the main office (865 Tutuilla Rd) or by calling 276-8100. Class meets every Wednesday and is designed to complement your wellness routine. The fee is a flat $36 per month.

Indoor Soccer for Ages 5-7

Location: Helen McCune Gym at the Pendleton Rec Center

Meets Feb 11-March18

Cost: $30

Ages: 5-7

Get out of the house and hit the gym! Crazy good fun for your littles with our indoor soccer program at the Rec Center. We will be kicking the ball Monday nights beginning at 5:30 p.m. Our "goal" is to have small teams that will practice for the first half of practice and scrimmage the last half. We will conclude on our final evening with a round-robin mini tournament. T-shirt included. Coaching volunteers needed. Call 276-8100 if interested in coaching.
